A non-transitory computer-readable medium with instructions stored thereon that, when executed by a processor, perform a method is provided. The method includes storing a directory of user accounts, the directory identifying a first association of a public descriptor to a user account, the directory further identifying a second association of a private descriptor to a contact of the user account. The method includes receiving a public descriptor request message including a value indicating a public descriptor to store in the directory associated with the user account. The method includes identifying a descriptor taxonomy using the value included in the public descriptor request. The method includes generating a set of suggested public descriptors using the descriptor taxonomy and the public descriptor request message. The method also includes transmitting the set of suggested public descriptors to the communication device. |
