A process for producing an oxygenic organic compound in which not only high catalyst stability but a high raw-material conversion can be attained. The process comprises oxidizing a hydrocarbon with a reactant fluid comprising an oxygen source and a reducing agent to produce an oxygenic organic compound, wherein use is made of a catalyst comprising: a support which is constituted of a wall material having a mesopore structure and containing titanosilicate seed crystals having a micropore structure, i.e., a so-called micro/meso hybrid support; and fine gold particles deposited on the support. The process attains both of an improvement in raw-material conversion and an improvement in catalyst life. |
