PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the rating capacity of a soluble conductor, enable quick fusion of the soluble conductor, and increase the allowable value for holding a molten conductor.SOLUTION: A protection element includes: an insulation substrate 11; a first heating body 14 laminated on the insulation substrate 11; an insulation member 15 which covers the first heating body 14; first and second electrodes 12 laminated on the insulation substrate 11; a heating body extraction electrode 16 which is laminated on the insulation member 15 so as to overlap with the first heating body 14 and is electrically connected with the first heating body 14 on an electric current path between the first and second electrodes 12; a soluble conductor 13 which is laminated on an area ranging from the heating body extraction electrode 16 to the first and second electrodes 12, 12 and fuses the electric current path between the first electrode 12 and the second electrode 12 with heat; and a cover member 19. A second heating body 25 is provided above the soluble conductor 13. |
