PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent following vehicle movement from being made difficult even when enabling a vehicle to stop by determining that the self-traveling of the vehicle becomes difficult during automatic traveling.SOLUTION: A control device of a vehicle configured to perform automatic traveling for enabling a vehicle to automatically travel without depending on the driving operation of a driver, and provided with a parking device for maintaining the stopping state of the vehicle by locking the rotation of wheels during stopping of the vehicle includes: detecting the presence/absence of the abnormality of the vehicle during the automatic traveling (step S1); determining the propriety of the continuation of automatic traveling when the abnormality of the vehicle is detected (step S2); and enabling the vehicle to stop after traveling in a retreat manner to a predetermined retreat location when it is determined that the continuation of the automatic traveling is impossible due to abnormality, and ending the automatic traveling without operating the parking device (steps S8, S9, S11).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
