PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical integrated circuit type optical device capable of being reduced in dimension required for connection between an optical integrated circuit substrate and an optical fiber for optical input/output.SOLUTION: An optical integrated circuit type optical device includes: a package 31 for storing an optical integrated circuit substrate 32 on which an optical integrated circuit is formed; and a plurality of optical fibers 34 for performing an input/output of light to the optical integrated circuit substrate 32. The optical integrated circuit type optical device further includes: a fiber fixing part 36 fixed to the package 31 and aligning and fixing the plurality of optical fibers 34 at predetermined pitches; and a support part 37 fixed to an end face of the optical integrated circuit substrate 32 and optically connecting the plurality of optical fibers 34 and an optical waveguide 38 for optical input/output of the optical integrated circuit 32. The plurality of optical fibers 34 are different in clad diameter in the fiber fixing part 36 and different in clad diameter in the support part 37, and different in pitch in the fiber fixing part 36 and different in pitch in the support part 37, and is bent between the fiber fixing part 36 and the support part 37.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
