PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel reforming device uniform in temp. distribution in a reactor and excellent in the durability and the production efficiency of a catalyst. SOLUTION: In an autothermal type fuel reforming device for forming a hydrogen-containing gas by introducing a gaseous mixture of a fuel gas with steam and an oxygen-containing gas into the reactor, in which the catalyst is packed, non-contact passages 136, 138 free from the contact of the introducing gas with the catalyst are provided in a part of the catalyst layer 134 at the upstream side of the reactor. |
