PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float changing over to a free moving state or a fixed state for a fishing line by operation to deliver the fishing line even in a quick tidal current in rock fishing using a conical float. SOLUTION: The float changing over to the free moving state or the fixed state is designed to provide the float with the free moving state for the fishing line because a tilted pipe 6a is located in the lower part of a mortar-like spatial part 2a and becomes a straight-line state with a pipe 5a in the float body when the fishing line 13 is fed to the float. When the fishing line is stopped from feeding or pulled, the tilted pipe 6a is pulled by the fishing line and lifted while bringing the upper part into contact with an upper lid circular opening part 4 and is stopped from lifting when a constricted part 8 reaches the upper lid circular opening part 4 to start tilting with the constricted part 8 as the fulcrum. Since a structure in which the gap between the tip part 10a in the lower part of the tilted pipe and the inner wall of the mortar-like spatial part 2a is narrowed as the tilting proceeds is formed, the fishing line emerging from the tip part 10a in the lower part of the tilted pipe is pressed and bent in the gap.
