PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a microchip that has a simple structure and separates bubbles contained in a liquid without causing enlargement of size. SOLUTION: A first route 24 at the entrance side of an observation bath 22 is equipped with the netlike member 31 of a bubble separation part 30 so as to cover the first route part 24. The netlike member 31 has a water repellent surface. Consequently, a liquid flowing in the first route 24 can not pass the holes of the netlike member 31. On the other hand, bubbles contained in the liquid flowing in the first route 24 can pass the holes of the netlike member 31. Therefore, a gas forming the babbles is separated from the liquid flowing in the first route 24 and discharged to the air. Consequently, babbles do not flow in the observation bath 22 and do not adhere to the inside wall or cover 12 of a chip main body 11 forming the observation bath 22. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
