PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device capable of accurately discriminating whether or not it is a specified optical disk. SOLUTION: The optical disk device 20 which does not write data to the specified optical disk comprises: an optical pickup 24; light irradiation means 40, 42 and 44 for irradiating an optical disk with the light of a prescribed wavelength; a light receiving means 46 for receiving reflected light when the optical disk is irradiated with the light of the prescribed wavelength; a discrimination means 52 for discriminating whether or not the optical disk is the specified optical disk on the basis of the reflected light from the optical disk received by the light receiving means 46; a control means 54 for executing control so as not to execute data write in the case that the discrimination means 52 determines that the optical disk is not the specified optical disk; and a setting means 27 for arranging the optical pickup 24 at a prescribed position with respect to the optical disk when the light irradiation means 40, 42 and 44 irradiate the optical disk with the light of the prescribed wavelength.
