PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate material for flooring which enables an orderly joining part to be formed during execution and does not cause a problem in the joining part even when contraction or expansion occurs with the elapse of time. SOLUTION: The plate material for flooring comprises a first plate material 2a provided with a plurality of recessed grooves 5, 13 and a second plate material 2b provided with a plurality of ridge parts 18, 27 which are respectively engaged with recessed grooves 5, 13. The plate material 2a is provided with a first tilted face 4 which tilts at a predetermined angle from a front face 3a side of the plate material to a rear face side of the plate material, and the recessed groove 5 of the plate material 2a is formed in a space on the upper side of the first tilted face 4. The plate material 2b is provided with a second tilted face 17 which tilts at an angle smaller than the predetermined angle from a front face 3b side of the plate material to a rear face side of the plate material. The ridge part 18 of the plate material 2b is formed of a part sandwiched by the front face 3b of the plate material and the second tilted face 17, and is engaged with the recessed groove 5 formed in a space on the upper side of the first tilted face 4 of the plate material 2a.
