PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood separation agent composition that has small increase in viscosity and generates bubbles, even if it is irradiated withγ-rays or an electron beam, that is, it is superior in stability against irradiation of active energy beam. SOLUTION: This blood separation agent composition contains a compound, having 2-phenyl-2-propenyl group derived fromα-methyl styrene dimer. In the first type thereof, the blood separation agent composition contains 100 parts per mass of polymer for the blood separation agent and 0.1-5 parts per mass ofα-methyl styrene dimer. In the second type thereof, the blood separation agent composition contains a polymer for the blood separation agent, having 2-phenyl-2-propenyl group derived from theα-methyl styrene dimer.
