PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanging element used in a total enthalpy heat exchange type ventilator, which reduces its weight, prevents leakage of airflow, reduces ventilation resistance, improves heat exchanging efficiency and productivity, ensures its strength while reducing the weight, and reduces a material cost. SOLUTION: Clearance ribs 6 provided with retaining ribs 10 on parts kept into contact with an injector pin used in extruding a resin frame 2 from a mold, shielding ribs 7 and connection ribs 8 are integrally molded on the resin frame 2. Then a heat exchanger plate 3 is joined to the resin frame 2 to configurate a unit element 4, and the plurality of unit elements 4 are stacked to configurate the heat exchanging element 1 where primary airflow A and secondary airflow B are circulated every other stage of ventilation passages to exchange the heat through the heat exchanger plates 3.
