PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidifying device capable of achieving a high sterilization and antibacterial effect without contaminating an indoor space and without increasing water usage. SOLUTION: This humidifying device 1 comprises a water storing portion 42, a humidifying portion, a metallic ion generation portion 400 and a control portion 103. The water storing portion 42 is a member for storing water. The humidifying portion is a member for evaporating the water stored in the water storing portion 42. The metallic ion generation portion 400 is a member performing an operation for adding metallic ions to the water stored in the water storing portion 42.
