PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting rod capable of improving cooling performance of a piston, while improving strength without complicating a shape. SOLUTION: A large end hole 32b and a small end hole 32a are formed in a connecting rod body 34. An oil hole 34a introducing engine oil to the small end hole 32a side from the large end hole 32b side is substantially formed in its longitudinal direction. A carbon fiber reinforced complex (a CFRM bundle) 50 is arranged in the oil hole 34a in a state of being oriented in the direction substantially along its longitudinal direction.
