PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the fly of wear powder produced on a friction contact part into peripheral environment. SOLUTION: Near the friction contact part 8 between a driving roller 3 and a sliding bar 2, a gas nozzle 9 is arranged toward the friction contact part 8. It is mounted on a carrying stage 1 via a mounting member. To the gas nozzle 9, a gas supply line 11 is connected to guide inactive gas 10 from a gas supply source. During the operation of a friction drive mechanism, the inactive gas 10 is supplied from the gas nozzle 9 to change the friction contact part 8 into an inactive gas atmosphere, thereby preventing the acceleration of the process of producing the wear powder on the friction contact part 8 with the existence of oxygen. This suppresses the production of the wear powder on the friction contact part 8 to reduce the amount of the wear powder to fly into peripheral environment. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
