ELECTROSPUN CHITOSAN AND CELLULOSE EXTRA FINE FIBERS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly obtain a nanofiber from a solution of a natural polysaccharide in an organic acid by increasing the free motion frequency of molecular chain without causing reduction in viscosity of a polymer solution and searching for a solvent having the property of quick evaporation. SOLUTION: A high voltage is applied between the discharge opening for the solution of a saccharide in an organic acid and a target, the polysaccharide is drawn by the attractive force of the electric field of the high voltage to the target and thinned to give an extra fine fiber having a diameter of≥40 nm and≤100 nm.
