<p>Method for determining the toxicity of a liquid comprises passing the liquid over a biofilm which permanently adheres to a device as a result of a micro- and/or nano-structured surface. Preferred Features: The liquid to be measured is water and a nutrient medium is mixed with the water to use the biofilm for the luminescence. The liquid to be measured and the nutrient medium are mixed in a micro-mixer. The luminescence is measured in different spectral regions so that the integrity of the biofilm and the influence of the toxicity are measured.</p> |
