<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an optical filter for display having a grounding electrode portion, which highly accurately and easily forms a grounding electrode portion for being easily attached on a display and grounded. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an optical filter for display having a grounding electrode portion includes: a step (A) for forming a through-hole 102 on at least a part of a peripheral edge portion of a rectangular transparent substrate 101a; a step (B) for forming a grounding electrode portion 103 by filling a conductive material into the through-hole 102; a step (C) for forming a pattern-like electromagnetic shielding layer 104 on the entire one surface of the transparent substrate 101a; and a step (D) for forming a functional layer 105 on a center portion except the peripheral edge portion on the other surface of the transparent substrate 101a.
