<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the restriction on the traveling area by suppressing the expansion of the processing load of an onboard controller even when the train is running on the long line, and by suppressing the expansion of the memory capacity. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A ground-side train controller of the train control system creates and records speed profile information from the train position, stop target position, train type, fixed speed limit and slope condition, and the like in the offline state, and retrieves speed profile information from the recorded speed profile information using the train position information transmitted from the onboard controller or the train position information obtained from the track circuit condition, the train type transmitted from the onboard controller and the stop target obtained by the ground-side train controller, and then transmits to the onboard controller as speed profile information applicable to the control.
