PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate access to data using a cache while maintaining consistency of data to be cached.SOLUTION: A database system comprises multiple cache servers, a cache data management device and a proxy device. The proxy device communicates with the cache servers or the cache data management device on behalf of a client. The cache data management device includes a table of data to be cached by the respective cache servers, and transmits an identification code of data to be cached, as a response, in response to an inquiry about data to be cached. The respective cache servers include a cache target determination part that: when receiving a request to store the data in a distributed database from the proxy device, determines whether or not the data included in the request is the data to be cached in the own server; and stores the data in the distributed database after storing the data in a memory cache according to a result of the determination.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
