Provided is a signal transmitting apparatus of a multi-carrier wave transmitting system, which can increase frequency usage efficiency by artificially causing interference between sub-carrier waves when transmitting a signal of a faster than nyquist (FTN) method. The signal transmitting apparatus of a multi-carrier wave transmitting system comprises: a mapper forming a signal into a pulse based on a pulse having a random tail length; and a cutting unit for cutting the signal to adjust a Fourier transform size by using a square wave having a width determined based on an FTN parameter.
