PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recognition apparatus configured to identify a position of a wrist, in an image including a hand of a person.SOLUTION: In an image recognition apparatus 100, a hand area specifying section 11 generates a hand-area specifying image 52 which indicates a range (hand area) of a hand of a person, from a frame 51 generated by a camera 9. A center specifying section 12 specifies a central position Pc of a palm in the hand area. A radius determination section 13 determines a radius R1 of a circle C1 drawn on the hand-area specifying image 52, on the basis of a distance from the central position Pc to an edge of the hand area. A drawing section 14 draws the circle C1 with the radius R1, centered at the specified central position Pc. A wrist position determination section 15 detects a plurality of circular arcs overlapping the hand area in the drawn circle C1, and determines a position of a wrist in the hand area, on the basis of lengths of the detected circular arcs.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
