PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter capable of suppressing external light reflection at a light blocking layer and suppressing the decrease in contrast, and a display device including the color filter.SOLUTION: A color filter 1 comprises a transparent substrate 2, a refractive index adjustment layer 3 formed on the transparent substrate 2, a light blocking layer 4 patterned on the refractive index adjustment layer 3, and a colored layer 5 formed in an opening of the light blocking layer 4. The refractive index adjustment layer 3 includes resin whose refractive index is larger than that of the transparent substrate 2 and smaller than that of the light blocking layer 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
