PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion burner which enhances internal flame holding to attain stable ignition.SOLUTION: A combustion burner includes: a fuel nozzle having a fuel gas injection port, which injects a fuel gas formed by mixing a carbon-containing solid fuel with primary air, and a fuel gas passage including an end part at which the fuel gas injection port is provided; a secondary air nozzle having a secondary air injection port, which is disposed around the fuel gas injection port and jets secondary air heated to a predetermined temperature, and a secondary air passage including an end part at which the secondary air injection port is provided; and a supply member disposed in the fuel gas passage and having a supply port which supplies a high temperature gas having a temperature higher than that of the fuel gas and including oxygen to the fuel gas passage located at the fuel gas upstream side of the fuel gas injection port.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
