PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power system which can continue supplying power to a load circuit, if two DC power supplies are mutually connected in series due to a fault of a switching element, causing the generation of a closed circuit which does not include the load circuit.SOLUTION: A power system 10 selectively executes a parallel connection mode in which power is supplied to a load circuit (inverter) 60 in a state that two DC power supplies 21, 31 are mutually connected in parallel, or a series connection mode in which power is supplied to the load circuit in a state of being mutually connected in series. The power system uses individual determination conditions to detect the occurrence of a closed circuit, according to the relationship of magnitude between each inter-terminal voltage of the two DC power supplies 21, 31, and when a determination condition is satisfied, cuts off a current which flows through one of the two DC power supplies.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
