Inter-Network Assisted Power Control for Interference Mitigation of D2D Communications

According to some embodiments, a first network node manages a transmit power of a first wireless device capable of device-to-device, D2D, communication. The first network node receives at least one measurement report from at least one of the first wireless device and a second wireless device in D2D communication with the first wireless device. The measurement report indicates a received signal measurement or path loss with respect to the other of the first wireless device and the second wireless device and/or a received signal measurement or path loss with respect to a victim node. The first network node sends the first wireless device instructions to make an adjustment of the transmit power that the first wireless device uses in the D2D communication. The adjustment is at least partially based on the received measurement report.

1. A method in a first network node for managing a transmit power of a first wireless device that is capable of device-to-device, D2D, communication, the method comprising:
receiving at least one measurement report from at least one of the first wireless device and a second wireless device in D2D communication with the first wireless device, the measurement report indicating a received signal measurement or path loss with respect to the other of the first wireless device and the second wireless device and/or a received signal measurement or path loss with respect to a victim node; and sending the first wireless device instructions to make an adjustment of the transmit power that the first wireless device uses in the D2D communication, wherein the adjustment is at least partially based on the received measurement report.
