摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road surface smoothness evaluation method for evaluating a road surface state of a road on which steps and irregularities are caused, by mounting a load sensor on a prescribed position of a vehicle for applying a gravity load by a weight of prescribed weight and measuring a vertical load.SOLUTION: A road surface smoothness evaluation method includes: recording an output of a load sensor when a vehicle stops, as a static load; recording outputs of the load sensor during traveling of the vehicle for each of prescribed sampling time intervals, as dynamic loads; recording positional information in association with recording times of the outputs of the load sensor during traveling of the vehicle; calculating a segment section of a road surface corresponding to the prescribed segment time interval on the basis of the positional information and calculating maximum change rates for each of the prescribed segment time intervals from change rates of the dynamic loads with respect to the static load; and setting, as a specific evaluation segment, a segment section of the road surface corresponding to a segment time interval having a value of a specific maximum change rate out of the maximum change rates for each of segment time intervals on the basis of a prescribed reference value set in accordance with a type of the vehicle, a mounting position of the load sensor, and an evaluation object.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
