PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and promptly complete data erasure and resume a suspended process when a power outage occurs during erasure of data of nonvolatile storage means and operation is restarted.SOLUTION: An electronic device 1 for storing data in a cache memory 40 and performing a process comprises a flash memory 3 having a plurality of blocks B in which chain data C is stored and a CPU 20 for making the block B a free block B2. When the power is cut off, the CPU 20 designates the free block B2 for a block B1 to be written to, adds its address to the tail of the chain data C, and writes data of the cache memory 40 to the block B1 to be written to, while, after adding the address of the block B1 to be written to, also adding the address of the block B that is in the middle of erasure. When restarted after the power outage, the CPU 20 erases data in a block at the address added to the chain data, and resumes a process by using data in a block at an address preceding the added address. |
