PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water storage type water heater capable heating operating in appropriate time span without the operation from a computer of a power supply undertaker even when a peak time zone is changed due to the power supply limitation or electric power charge menu change.SOLUTION: A hot water storage type water heater 1 of the invention comprises heating means 2 for producing hot water by heating water using electric power supplied from an electric power system; a hot water storage tank 10 for storing the hot water produced by the heating means 2; receiving means (a system for equipment management 103) for obtaining information about a peak time zone of the electric power system by communication; and control means (a control part 15) for changing the establishment of an operation prohibition time, which is a prohibition time zone for prohibiting the heating operation by the heating means 2, based on the information received by the receiving means. |
