摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage water heater that can flexibly respond to an environmental condition on the day to inhibit shortage of hot water while suppressing electric power use amount in an electric power peak time zone.SOLUTION: A storage water heater includes: an HP unit for generating hot water by heating water; a hot water storage tank for storing hot water; a control section that enables switching between a saving mode of setting peak cut for prohibiting boiling-up operation in a peak time zone including peak of electric power demand and a normal mode of preventing setting of the peak cut when the boiling-up operation for operating the HP unit to store hot water in the hot water storage tank is performed; and an outside air temperature sensor for detecting an outside air temperature. In the control section, the outside air temperature is compared with a preset temperature region where air-conditioning equipment is not used. When the outside air temperature is within the temperature region where air-conditioning equipment is not used, the boiling-up operation is performed in the normal mode, and when the outside air temperature is outside the temperature region where air-conditioning equipment is not used, the boiling-up operation is performed in the saving mode.
