This system (10) includes: an electronic ticket (20) possessing a locating module (22) storing a ticket identifier and periodically emitting a locating signal including said identifier; detectors (30), each having a detector identifier and being placed in a determined location, able to sense a locating signal emitted by a ticket located in a zone of coverage of the detector, and to generate a location datum including the identifier of the detector, the identifier of the ticket and the date; and a central processor (40), collecting the location data generated by the detectors (30) in order to locate a ticket on the basis of the identifier of the detector having sensed the locating signal emitted by said ticket, the central processor thus being able to determine user flux through the zones of coverage associated with each detector.
