PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silicone composition which gives cured coating films having excellent adhesivity to various substrates and having good heat resistance, good water and oil repellency, and good lubricity, and can also be used as a solvent-free type, and to provide a coating material. SOLUTION: This silicone composition comprises (A) an organo hydrogen polysiloxane having at least three hydrogen atoms bound to silicon atoms in one molecule as a main component, (B) a transition metal catalyst in an amount necessary for curing the composition, and (C) a reaction controller in an amount necessary for controlling the reaction. A coating material comprises the silicone composition. The silicone composition simply and quickly gives silicone cured coating films which have excellent adhesivity to various substrates and have good heat resistance, good water and oil resistance, good lubricity, and so on, and can also be used as a solvent-free type. Thereby, the silicone composition can widely be utilized for various kinds of the coating materials such as heat-resistant coating materials and water-repelling and soil-resistant coating materials. |
