PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate transportation and the like and also simplify installation in a specified place by providing the outer peripheral surface of a column body protrusively with a plurality of protrusive bodies. SOLUTION: Three protrusive bodies 6 are protrusively provided on the same circumference of the outer peripheral surface of one end part and the other end part of a column 3 which is an example of a column body 2, at spaces of 120 deg. in a right-angled direction to the longitudinal direction of the column 3 to form a polygonal wave dissipating concrete block 1. A plurality of protrusive bodies 6 may be protrusively provided in the appropriate positions on the outer peripheral surface of the column body 2, and a plurality of protrusive bodies 6 may be protrusively provided every equal space or every unequal space in the same circumferential surface positions of the column body 2. In work execution, a plurality of polygonal wave dissipating concrete blocks 1 are installed on an outer sea side slope of a breakwater in the mutually engaged state of the columns 3 and protrusive bodies 6 to cover the outer sea side slope of the breakwater. This facilitates transportation and the like and also simplifies installation in a specified place.
