PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expandable handle structure in a hand trowel, in which its handle length is made variable and can be set to the optimum length during the use of the hand trowel. SOLUTION: In the hand trowel provided with the drives 5, whose drive shaft is driven with a driving source 1, having arms 2a, 2b and 2c radially extending at an circumferentially equal interval, along with blades 3a, 3b and 3c attached to these arms 2a, 2b and 2c respectively, a handle shaft 5 protruding back from the rear of the drives 4 has been made extendable, and a handle operation member 6 is mounted on top of the handle shaft 5, so that the length of handle shat 5 which was conventionally fixed can vary and be set to be the optimum according to work conditions.
