PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening apparatus which can be easily set to an installing position in a height direction of an opening and closing device and is capable of easily corresponding to a fitting adjustment for a light of a window regardless of an installing position of an outward projecting arm. SOLUTION: An operating board 80 freely slidable in an up-and-down direction and a base board 81 for guiding the operation of an outward projecting arm 90 are installed at an inner face side of a longitudinal frame 30 facing a window stile 60a at a light 4 of the window. The outward projecting arm 90 comprises a coupling arm 91 with its one end fixed to the base board 81 in a freely oscillating manner and a light fixing board 92 with another end portion of the coupling arm 91 fixed to the window stile 60a at the light 4 of the window; and an opening and closing device 70 capable of sliding an operating board upward or downward relative to the longitudinal frame 30 connected to the operating board 80. The operating board 80 can be slid in response to the operation of the opening and closing device 70; and then the coupling arm 91 is oscillated relative to the light fixing board 92 and the base board 81 thereby opening or closing the light 4 of the window.
