A data communication modem device controllable by an Internet service provider and a recording medium storing a program installed in the data communication modem device. The data communication modem device is connected to a data communication service providing server and a data communication modem managing device through a wired/wireless channel, transmits a data communication service to a terminal device, and includes a modem and a share unit. The modem receives transmission signals on the data communication service from the wired/wireless channel to converts them into data signals available by the terminal device, and controls the share unit according to a control request message from the data communication modem managing device, and the share unit provides the data signals to ports connected to the terminal device. Therefore, the Internet service provider can remotely and easily control and manage the modem and the share unit.
