PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing apparatus for a printer by which washing can easily be performed even there are a large number of rollers or the like. SOLUTION: This washing apparatus for the printer is equipped with a movable frame 51 for washing, and roller washing means 52a to 58a, 52b to 58b, 52c to 58c, and 52d to 58d. In this case, the movable frame 51 for washing is arranged to be movable between a washing-time operating position for approaching pattern rollers 33a to 33d and a printing-time standing-by position for separating from the pattern rollers 33a to 33d. The roller washing means 52a to 58a, 52b to 58b, 52c to 58c, and 52d to 58d are supported by the movable frame 51 for washing so that they may be located in vicinities of respective pattern rollers 33a to 33d when the movable frame 51 for washing is located at the washing-time operating position. Then, a movable frame 39 for an inker is positioned at the washing-time standing-by position, and at the same time, the movable frame 51 for washing is positioned at the washing-time operating position, and the pattern rollers 33a to 33d are washed by the roller washing means 52a to 58a, 52b to 58b, 52c to 58c, and 52d to 58d and so forth.
