PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinball game machine which can improve expectations felt by players for the advance notice for ready-for-win states by setting the rate of the occurrence higher when the players are already notified in advance of the ready-for-win state than that when they are not as for the ready-for-win state prone to loss regrettably occurring just by a margin of±one symbol or so. SOLUTION: The rate of the occurrence is set higher when the players are notified in advance of the possibility of the ready-for-win variation by a ready-for-win variation advance notification means than that when they are not related to the ready-for-win variation mode with a higher rate of the occurrence when a closer relationship to the ready-for-win state is judged by results of display judging means. After the notification in advance of the ready-for-win state, the ready-for-win state prone to loss regrettably occurring just by a margin of±one symbol or so (ready-for-win mode with higher rate of the occurrence when closer relationship to the ready-for-win state is judged by result of display judging means) is easier to occur. This can make the players impressed with hitting loss regrettably just by a margin when loss occurs in the ready-for-win state in the case of being notified in advance of the ready-for-win state.
