A method of controlling an air conditioning apparatus is provided to prevent condensed water of an evaporator core from causing fogging on the inside of a windshield by opening a defrost door immediately and converting the operation mode of the air conditioner from an inside air mode to an outside air mode. A method of controlling an air conditioning apparatus of a vehicle for fogging prevention, wherein the air conditioning apparatus comprises a control unit, an inside/outside air input unit, a vent mode input unit, an air conditioner operation switch, an inside/outside air driving unit, a vent mode driving unit, and an air conditioner driving unit, the method comprises the steps of: discriminating an operational state of the air conditioner, when the vent mode input unit is manipulated by the user to change the operation mode from a mix mode or a defrost mode to a floor mode(S120); driving the vent mode driving unit for closing a defrost door and counting the elapsed time after the closure of the defrost door, when the air conditioner is turned off(S130); and controlling the vent mode driving unit when the counted time reaches a predetermined time, when the air conditioner is turned on, while controlling the inside/outside air driving unit for changing an operation mode from an inside air mode to an outside mode(S140,S150).
