A rack stroke variable apparatus is provided to reduce a production cost and to reduce weight of the vehicle by driving left and right stoppers through stopper driving units. A rack stroke variable apparatus comprises a worm gear(12), left and right stoppers(16,18), and stopper driving units. The worm gear is formed at a steering column(10). The stoppers are installed at left and right ends of a rack(14) engaged with the worm gear. The stopper driving units drive the left and right stoppers simultaneously. One side of the left an right stoppers has rack passing grooves(16a,18a) to pass through the rack, and the other side thereof has gear parts(16b,18b). The stopper driving units have a driving motor(20) which is a driving source, and a pinion gear(22) mounted at the driving shaft of the motor and engaged with the gear parts of the stoppers.
