PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic document conveying device capable of easily enlarging a region wherein a conveying speed of a document can be changed. SOLUTION: The automatic document conveying device 1 equipped with a conveying part E having conveying rollers 16 and 21 for delivering the document on a document table 3 after conveying the document to a reading position is provided with an output part 41 having a plurality of output gears 43, 44 and 45 having a different number of teeth, an output gear shaft 46 attached with the output gears and rotated and driven by driving force from a motor 40, and a movement mechanism 47 for moving the output gear shaft 46 in an axial direction; and an input part 42 having an input gear 52 meshed with the output gear, and an input gear shaft 54 attached with the input gear 52 and arranged in parallel to the output gear shaft 46.
