IP NETWORK COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

An IP network communication system which realizes peer-to-peer communication and is practical and low cost is provided. The IP network communication system including an IP network and a plurality of communication terminals for performing terminal-to-terminal communication through the IP network has a plurality of data servers for receiving and holding connection information data including the IP addresses of the communication terminals in response to a hold request with the communication terminals through the IP network and transmitting the connection information data in response to a delivery request. Each of the communication terminals generates the connection information data including its own IP address to transmit it to at least any one of the data servers. Further the communication terminals search the one data server holding the connection information data of a communication terminal to be connected, receives the connection information data of the communication terminal to be connected from the one data server, extracts the IP address of the communication terminal to be connected from the connection information data, and specifies the extracted IP address to perform the terminal-to-terminal communication with the communication terminal to be connected.
