PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder capable of preventing erroneous detection of a paper size and an image forming device mounted with the same. SOLUTION: A size detection device (50) detecting the size of transfer paper includes: a guide member (52) erecting a transfer paper width aligning member (40); an interlocking member (60) interlocking with the sliding operation of the width aligning member; a detection terminal (64) coupled to the interlocking member; a board (70) formed into a long shape along the sliding direction of the width aligning member and having a pattern (72) brought into contact with the detection terminal to thereby discriminate the transfer paper size; and a gripping part (80) gripping the board in a nearby position where the detection terminal is arranged.
