PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock-in preventer of an elevator capable of restarting the elevator in conjunction with a reset signal by operating an in-car intercom button. SOLUTION: The lock-in preventer comprises a cage 1 of an elevator, a car operation panel 2 provided in the cage, an in-car intercom button 3 which is operated by a passenger 4 locked in the cage and connected to an information center 5 to enable intercom communication 6, and a control panel 7 for transmitting an abnormality signal 9 to the information center at a lock-in trouble. When a lock-in trouble occurs, a maintenance engineer 11 who is a trouble shooter arrives at a site, and resets the operation panel to perform rescue. As soon as the passenger operates the in-car intercom button, the reset signal is transmitted to the control panel, and the elevator is reset so as to be re-startable before a maintenance engineer arrives at the site.
