PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue image forming operation by avoiding a stop of a device as much as possible in relation to skew of a paper sheet in conveyance. SOLUTION: This image forming device comprises an image forming section for forming images based on the image data, a paper feeding tray for housing recording papers to be formed with images and supplying them, a conveying section for conveying the recording papers, which are supplied from the paper feeding tray, to the image forming section, a paper skew detecting means for detecting the amount of skew of the recording paper being conveyed by the conveying section, and a control means determining whether control relative to the paper skew is required or not based on a result of detection by the paper skew detecting means during the image forming operation and, in the case wherein a determination that the control relative to the paper skew is required is made, performing control so as to switch from the paper feeding tray, which is feeding the recording paper, to other tray so as to continue the image forming operation. With this structure, a cause of the paper skew can be avoided as much as possible, and image forming operation can be continued. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
