摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering an active material directly from a discarded battery material without requiring a manufacturing cost and manufacturing energy required to manufacture the active material from a source material of the active material, and without using an organic solvent in recovering the active material from the discarded battery material. <P>SOLUTION: The method for recovering an active material from a discarded battery material comprises the steps of (1) recovering an electrode mixture containing the active material, a conductive material, and a binder from an electrode by separating the electrode from the discarded battery material, (2) mixing an activation treatment containing one or two kinds of alkali metal compounds into the recovered electrode mixture, (3) activating the active material in the obtained mixture by heating the mixture to a maintained temperature equal to the solidus of the activation treatment or higher, and (4) recovering the activated active material from the mixture obtained by cooling after the activating step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
