The brake (1) has a hydraulic assembly (2) for ventilating the brake. A hydraulic pressure increasing group (3) generates ventilation pressure, and a controllable hydraulic valve group (4) controls the pressure depending on a respective control signal. The increasing group has an electrically controllable motor (5) e.g. electrical step or servo motor, which drives a hydraulic pump (6) and the brake. The hydraulic assembly and the groups form a structural unit, which possesses a hydraulic circuit (8) that is enclosed in the circuit and connects electrical and mechanical interfaces (7e, 7m).
