PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic control device capable of suppressing occurrence of any situation which is determined non-abnormal though it is abnormal. SOLUTION: The electronic control device performs the predetermined computation processing by using the input value of the input signal to calculate the output values R1. The four calculated output values R1 are defined as R1(0), R1(1), R1(2), R1(3), in the new order, and the output changeΔR1(1) [=R1(1)-R1(2)], and the output changeΔR1(2) [=R1(2)-R1(3)]. Further, when the positive and negative signs ofΔR1(1) andΔR1(2) are same (refer to the arrows Y1, Y2 of Fig.(a)), the predicted output change C1[=ΔR1(1)/ΔR1(2)]. When the positive and negative signs ofΔR1(1) andΔR1(2) are different (refer to the arrows Y3, Y4 of Fig.(b)), the predicted output change C1[=C0+äΔR1(1)/ΔR1(2)}] (C0 is a constant).
