PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device that has no image quality defect, as preventing increase in costs and a change in hue arising from use of special color toner.SOLUTION: An image formation device 1 has: colored toner image carriers 112Y, M, C and K that carry a colored toner image on a surface; a special color toner image carrier 112S that carries a special color toner image on a surface; an intermediate transfer body 131 to which respective toner images to be carried on the surfaces of the colored toner image carrier and the special color toner image carrier are transferred with the toner images thereto overlapped on the surfaces thereof; toner-amount detection means 137 that detects an amount of toner adhesion of the toner image on the intermediate transfer body; and a nip formation member 135 that contacts with the intermediate transfer body to form a transfer nip 139, and transfers the toner image of the intermediate transfer body to a recording medium sandwiched by the transfer nip, in which on the basis of information on a difference among the amounts of toner adhesion of a plurality of kinds of colored toner images different in a main scanning direction length to be formed on the intermediate transfer body, the amount of toner adhesion of the special color toner image in the special color toner image carrier is controlled.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
