PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable both protection of a feed water heater and improvement of thermal efficiency of a plant.SOLUTION: In one embodiment, a steam turbine plant includes: a boiler for converting water to steam; a steam turbine driven by the steam from the boiler; and a steam condenser for returning the steam from the steam turbine to the water. The plant further includes: a water conveyance route for conveying the water from the steam condenser to the boiler; a first feed water heater arranged in the water conveyance route to heat the water; a first route branched from the water conveyance route at a first point of the water conveyance route; and a second route merged with the water conveyance route at a second point of the water conveyance route. Moreover, the plant includes a first heat exchanger for performing heat exchange between the steam extracted from the steam turbine and the water from the first route, supplying the steam that has undergone the heat exchange to the first feed water heater and discharging the water that has undergone the heat exchange to the second route.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
